I was just flipping through my kids’ web site, looking for an image, saw this one of my boy two years ago and I swear my heart skipped a beat. It’s not the best picture of him but something about seeing that baby plus a flash of the boy he’s become all mixed up in that same expression just about made me jump out of my chair. Other baby photos of him don’t seem to do this (yep, I just checked) so why this one?Â
Man, I hate when I start the day off all weird like that.

Awwwwww, how adorable is the little guy? The run up to birthdays is always the hardest for me.
And then there’s the reality check of the well-child visit. My baby is HOW tall? And he weighs HOW much?!
