With a name like “Burpee”…

you have to have a sense of humor. And apparently they do. As I was perusing the seed display at the old Home Depot yesterday, I noticed a package of broccoli named “George’s Favorite Blend.”
I didn’t have my camera with me but it made me laugh so much that I almost bought them, but then, well, I would own broccoli seeds and who wants to deal with that?
Anyway, I can’t seem to find a picture of the package online, nor the story behind the name. Perhaps it has nothing to do with #41, but I like to think that it does. Because taunting former presidents is fun.

I think maybe I find out tomorrow on the hook thing — I’ll let you all know for sure. The playroom is coming along at a glacial pace. I’m painting tonight (cell block gray). Flooring is ordered but doesn’t get here for a couple of weeks. At this point, I’m just hoping the damned thing is done by the time they’re teenagers…
