making things pretty…

With a name like “Burpee”…

you have to have a sense of humor. And apparently they do. As I was perusing the seed display at the old Home Depot yesterday, I noticed a package of broccoli named “George’s Favorite Blend.”

I didn’t have my camera with me but it made me laugh so much that I almost bought them, but then, well, I would own broccoli seeds and who wants to deal with that?

Anyway, I can’t seem to find a picture of the package online, nor the story behind the name. Perhaps it has nothing to do with #41, but I like to think that it does. Because taunting former presidents is fun.

Ok, this Mr. P lamp makes me laugh and laugh. And, no, I wouldn’t dare put it in the living room but ya gotta admit it would be awfully cute in a little boy’s room.

You know what else makes me laugh? The thought of saying, “Hey Mom, would you flip on that lamp over there?”
