ding-dong…

The funny thing about redoing the exterior of your house, is that you think you’re only going to side it, but then you realize you can’t possibly put that heinous 40-year-old mailbox/porch light/house numbers/doorbell back up and ruin all of the aesthetics you’ve just enhanced.
And so you search high and low for new, cooler house accoutrements, poo-pooing the offerings at the local hardware store, all the while thinking, “it’s really no wonder people think we’re picky and weird.” And then you run across these doorbells from Spore. Modern, without being spartanly ugly AND they have LED lights so they should last for-evah.

Not only do they have kick-ass doorbells, I see some TDF house number plates with LED backlights, too. So…what color LED did you get? Alien green, maybe?

So far the Handiman I’m Married To hasn’t been inspired to change it, and I’m too lazy.
I just might be inspired now.

we went with the boring ol’ white LED (mostly because that’s what was on fire-sale on ebay). It’s pretty cool… ‘ll have to try to get a pic of it at night so you can use it to sway that Handyman!

[...] stoop (man, I love that word) just bores me to tears. We have a cool mailbox, and a really cool doorbell which, apparently, attracts toddler fingers with a force similar to that of the North Pole). The [...]
