wood + light…
How beautiful is this bent-wood lamp?
It has just enough of the mid-century mod to the shape and the light coming through the wood grain is gorgeous. My only problem? It’s 9.5″ wide. Too small! I want one almost twice this size…

once an 8, always an 8…
In another life I played rugby. Now, I didn’t play well, but I played for many years — had a lot of fun, met a lot of good people, made some friends who are near and dear to my heart.
And so, my near and dear friends, here is a “which rugby position are you?” quiz. Usually I hate these kinds of things, but this one was spot on for me and made me giggle.

So if you’re some kind of super film geek who gets upset about people giving away spoilers, do not — DO NOT — go look at the über cool Spoilt t-shirt over at Threadless. Yes, there’ve been a few of these spoiler shirts, but most are just text… this one does a great job with the icons and typography.
You’re not peeking at those spoilers, are you?
You know, if you really were some kind of super film geek, you’d have already seen all of these movies, and it wouldn’t really be a problem, now would it?

Even though I detest — DETEST — filling ice trays, I might just break down and buy my kids some of these fun yellow Lego ice trays this summer.
I’m so torn… man, do I hate ice trays but the kids would *lurve* these.
