This is SO close to the conversation DH and I had after the Super Bowl. Which went something like this:
“The Goulet thing was brilliant. Did you like anything else?”
“Eh, the Doritos ad done my amateurs was OK, too.”
“Everything else was just meh, though.”
“We’ll have to keep lowering expectations so we can be entertained during the next Super Bowl.”
So sad, all that money spent on all those mediocre ads. Maybe it’s time to start an agency…

OK, so I must have already had a few adult beverages, but the simple sight-gag of the bearded comb-over killed me. I couldn’t stop laughing. I wished they’d left out the part with the short-shorts and skates because the beard hair totally did it for me on its own.
It still makes me laugh to think about it.
I liked the Doritos ads, too.
I’m pretty easily amused.

You guys are right — The comb-over one made me snicker, but I think it was more because I like those two guys. And I kind of laughed at the Doritos ads, but they didn’t just bowl me over like the Robert Goulet one. Man, can you imagine the brainstorming session? “Hmmmm… which D-list celebrity has the funniest sounding name…”
