I don’t know who’s doing the ads for TLC…

but I’m loving them lately.

The “Life Lessons” series was middlin’ funny, until they got to Life Lesson #80 — Not Everything Comes Back in Style.

“Where’d you park your De Lorean?” heh!

What sealed it for me though, is the new American Chopper series, for their move to TLC. The holiday ads were hilarious and the one with Joan Jett — perfect!

zombie bunnies…

What could be funnier than a zombie bunny?

Lots and LOTS of zombie bunnies on a shirt from Threadless!

(awwwww… and, again, just in time for Easter!)

oooh! oooooohhh! a new toy!

It’s a little alarming how excited I got when I ran across these new mini Bilibo toys.

We love our Bilibos around here — they’re so simple (pretty much a plastic bowl with two holes) but the simplest toys are often the ones that most spark the imagination. It’s been so much fun watching my girls explore these — so far they’ve been used as bowls, chairs, turtle shells, baby doll beds, stepping stones, water scoops, snow scoops, sleds… you name it. Makes me wish there was a big Bilibo for grownups (although this kind of comes to mind).

But these minis are just too cute. And a *perfect* Easter Bunny present…

for me!

my favorite game…

This was, absolutely, without a doubt, my favorite game as a child (and I was a bit of a game nerd). Back then it was called “Run Yourself Ragged.”

At some point during the past 30 years, a marketing whiz kid saw fit to change the name to “Snafu.” Really? SNAFU?! Genius’s boss finally realized that mistake and changed it to “Screwball Scramble” but seriously what the hell were they thinking? Obviously NOT thinking of the inevitable, “Mommy, what does Snafu mean?”

attention all art majors…

you will most definitely get a kick out of this Still Life Fruit Bowl.

There was always that one kid, right? who would come up with some crazy shit and then use that bullshit ‘artspeak’ to defend his work in class? I’m betting this was dreamed up by one of those kids…

but it still makes me laugh!

so here’s my problem…

I’m a bit of a type junkie.

I love a good, versatile sans serif.

I *adore* this new one named Antenna from FontBureau.

I do not have the $1,400 required to own the whole family.

hence, my problem.

if I had one of these…

from No. 2, I would TOTALLY finally keep up a journal.

Perfed notecards on one side, spiral notebook on the other — this thing is too cool not to use.

No, really, I would.

Again, shut up.

I want to love this…

Bento lunch box because seriously, it’s a neat update on an old idea, I love the colors, AND it’s Melamine. But all I can think is, “I’d have to have like 3 of them, because otherwise I’d forget to wash it out at night and then be all running around in the morning, trying to get my lunch together and it would be all sticky from the day before and that would piss me off and I’d want to hurl it across the kitchen and that would be a drag.”

Oh, and I’d have to have a job to carry it to also.

Otherwise… love it.
